Intermediate Level competitors must present two contrasting selections (such as uptempo and ballad; dramatic and comedic, belt and legit; with varied musical styles and from different time periods)  and chosen from Broadway or Off-Broadway original shows and revivals. Selections may be from professionally produced Canadian musicals. Maximum time: 10 mins.

Senior Level competitors must present two contrasting selections (such as uptempo and ballad; dramatic and comedic, belt and legit; with varied musical styles and from different time periods)  and chosen from Broadway or Off-Broadway original shows and revivals. Selections may be from professionally produced Canadian musicals. Maximum time: 12 minutes.

Advanced competitors must present two contrasting selections (such as uptempo and ballad; dramatic and comedic, belt and legit; with varied musical styles and from different time periods)  and chosen from Broadway or Off-Broadway original shows and revivals. Selections may be from professionally produced Canadian musicals. Maximum time: 12 minutes.

Evaluation will focus on singing and storytelling. Appropriate stage movement and dialogue or monologue, if an integral part of a selection, may be included. Treat your performance in the competition as you would an audition, which calls for full character and perhaps some movement, but no costumes or staging.

Competitors are required to provide both their collaborative pianists and the adjudicator with authorized copies of music scores. Any downloaded sheet music must be presented with a copy of the receipt attached.

Performers will provide their own collaborative pianists at their own expense.

Winners in any given class will remain eligible for that same class for as long as they stay in that age category. Prize amounts for each category will be announced at a later date.
